Are You Audition-ready?
Now is the time for your passion, hard work, determination and many long hours of dance in the studio to pay off.
Whether you are applying for a vocational dance school, your preferred summer intensive, college dance program auditions, or require CV photographs for professional dance companies across the world, a dance audition photo shoot is one of the most important sets of photographs you will have taken.
Excellent audition material is not a luxury, but a necessity. All companies, colleges and schools pre-screen dancers through their photographs. Showcasing your technique, personality and energy at its strongest is therefore imperative.
It is for this reason that you not only choose the right photographer for you, but also make sure they have the know-how to give you the best photographs possible.
With 20 years experience in shooting dance, I am in a unique position to offer the knowledge required to get the best photographs you need to take you forward. I will make sure that all your photos will show you at your very best. I can guide you to achieve a better standard of photograph that is both eye-catching and technically correct.
I have photographed many dancers who applied to schools such as The Paris Opera Ballet School (Paris), The Royal Ballet School (London), The English National Ballet School (London), Elmhurst Ballet School (Birmingham), Tring Park School for the Performing Arts (Tring), Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance (Twickenham), Bolshoi Ballet Academy (Florence), Ateneo Danza (Forli) and ZfinMalta (Malta) among others, and I am proud to say that most of them have been successfully selected. I love photographing dance and capturing the unique abilities and spirit of each individual dancer to show them at their best.
I also do dedicated promotional dance shoots, performances, workshops and anything that is dance related.
Do get in touch with me so we can discuss what you require, and I will translate your dream into images.

Jeanine Gatt
“John is capable of capturing the beauty of dance in its many forms, be it for audition photos or performances. Photography is hard work when the subjects of your photos change position all the time, but I admire John for his good sense of timing and an eye for capturing the right movement.”
Damaris Spiteri
“John’s work is absolutely wonderful. The Dance Workshop is really blessed to work with such a skilled photographer.
Here’s to the next photoshoot.”
