The Terms & Conditions hereinunder are deemed to have been read, understood and agreed upon once the registration has been signed and submitted. The terms and conditions are binding once the registration form has been processed.
Fees & Registration
After a registration form to a course is submitted, JGP will inform the applicant by email if he/she has been accepted to the course. An enrollment fee of €50 is required on the candidate being accepted to the course. JGP will only confirm enrollments when the enrollment fee is made. Once a payment has been affected the prospective student will receive a receipt and details of the pending balance.
Full payment of the course fees must then be received prior to the date of commencement of the course.
Method of Payment
Fees and deposits can be paid via PayPal, by cheque, bank transfer or in cash.
PayPal payments can be made through the online facility on this website.
All cheques should be made payable to John Grech Photography.
Upon enrollment applicants will receive all the information necessary for the transfer of bank payments.
If the need arises arrangements can be made for fees to be paid in three separate monthly payments.
Late Applications
If a course still has vacant places, JGP reserves the right to accept late applications till the day of commencement of that course or even later, provided the applicant in question makes up in one way or other for the missed lectures.
Confirmation of course late applicants would be done by telephone or via email. If no formal confirmation from JGP has been received within 48 hours of the submission of application, it shall be the duty of the applicant to contact JGP to confirm the status of the application.
Cancellation by applicant & non-Attendance
Cancellation or non-attendance due to illness or for personal or professional reasons does not entitle the applicant to a refund or extra tuition. However, in such an event JGP will consider all the relevant circumstances and take proceed in a fair and reasonable manner.
In the event of a student missing or not attending lectures, JGP will try whatever possible to give the student extra help to make up for the missed lectures, provided there is sufficient proof that lectures were missed for acceptable reasons.
Cancellation by JGP
John Grech Photography:
- reserves the right to amend or cancel courses, change course dates or substitute educators (where applicable) at any time.
- guarantees a five (5) working day notice when a course is cancelled or rescheduled. The applicant will be given the option to choose another course or to be given a full refund of the course fees or of the classes cancelled.
- will provide refunds within one calendar month from notification.
- will not, in any manner whatsoever, be liable for any losses including, but not limited to, travel and accommodation expenses arising as a consequence of any modification or cancellation of courses.
Certificate on Completion of Courses
A certificate of attendance will be awarded if at least 80% of the classes have been attended.
Students will be presented with a certificate at the end of the course or will be asked to collect the certificate a maximum of thirty (30) days after course completion. The Attendance Certificate will reflect the details provided on the registration form.
Data Protection
John Grech Photography endeavours to keep confidential all personal information divulged by the applicant. Such personal data will not be given to third parties. Personal information will only be used for educational, promotional or marketing purposes and only if the applicant had specifically given instruction and consent on the registration form upon enrollment.
Copyright
John Grech Photography:
- reserves the right and retains copyright to all promotional photographs, which may be taken of students on its premises and during its activities outside the premises.
- will obtain permission from the student before taking photographs, and the student has the right not to be photographed. No personal details of students will be passed to third parties, except the appropriate authorities, without prior consent.
Fees & Registration
Workshops are limited to 5-6 participants in order to maintain an intimate feeling, and to allow each participant to have more individual time with the instructor.
There is no registration deadline but because of the small size of the classes it is better to register as soon as you have decided not to be disappointed.

An enrollment fee of €50 is required on the candidate being accepted to the workshop. JGP will only confirm enrollments when the enrollment fee is made. Once a payment has been affected the prospective student will receive a receipt and details of the pending balance.
A further €450 will be required as a deposit two calendar months prior to the commencement of the workshop
Full payment of the workshop fees must then be received one calendar month prior to the date of commencement of the workshop.

Late Applications & Waiting Lists
If a workshop still has vacant places, JGP reserves the right to accept late applications till 7 days before the commencement of that workshop.
Confirmation of workshop late applicants would be done by telephone or via email. If no formal confirmation from JGP has been received within 48 hours of the submission of application, it shall be the duty of the applicant to contact JGP to confirm the status of the application.
If one of our workshop fills up, a waiting list will opened. You will be entered in a wait list once we receive your registration form, but you will not be required to pay a deposit at this stage. We will let you know what number you are on the list, and if there are any cancellations you will be informed accordingly.
Cancellation / Refunds
Cancellation by the applicant due to illness or for personal or professional reasons does not entitle the applicant to a refund. Any cancellation by a participant must be made in writing by regular mail or email. The date on which the letter is received by us will determine the cancellation charges applicable.
These charges are as follows:
1. 61 days or more before workshop – no cancellation charge
2. 31 – 60 days before workshop – 100% of deposit
3. 9 – 30 days before workshop – 50% of total workshop fee
4. 8 days or less before workshop – 100% of total workshop fee
Cancellation by JGP
When working with professional photographers it may happen that at last minute notice, circumstances force them to cancel a workshop. In these cases the participants of that workshop can choose either to be fully reimbursed or to be transferred to another workshop.

Insurance
John Grech Photography is not responsible for reimbursement of travel expenses in case a workshop is cancelled. We recommend that you buy refundable air tickets and/or travel insurance.

Disclaimer
John Grech Photography is not liable for personal injuries or equipment damage during the workshop duration. The signing of the registration form releases JGP from any liability. JGP is not responsible for reimbursement of travel expenses in case a workshop is cancelled.

After a registration form to a tour is submitted, JGP will inform the applicant by email if he/she has been confirmed to form part of a tour group. The payment of the corresponding tour fee is required on the applicant being confirmed. Once payment has been affected the applicant will receive a receipt of payment and details of the tour.
